Risk-taking is Free

Posted on 26. Sep, 2009 by in Blog

Rock climber clinging to a cliff. To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.
But the risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

‘To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self’ is a relevant statement for introducing myself to your blog, and you to mine.I have just begun blogging, learning to blog, and reading blogs. Today I wrote about my experience with Heart to Heart Communications, and how pivotol it has been for my life and work.It just occurred to me to let you know that I included a link to the Heart to Heart website, and to the book,’How in the World Do We Make a Difference?’.The post is called, ‘The Making a Difference Story’, from Heart to Heart.
    Gratefully, Mary
